We operate the website www.carecoinscommunity.co.uk (the "Site"), which enables organisations and individuals to purchase prepaid digital service credits ("Carecoins credits") and access mental health, wellbeing, and training services ("Services").
Services accessed through the Site are delivered primarily by independent third-party therapists and providers ("Providers"). In some cases, Services may also be delivered by therapists employed or contracted directly by Carecoins C.I.C.
We require that all therapists providing Services through the Site are registered members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy ("BACP"), or, where Services are delivered outside the United Kingdom, an equivalent recognised professional regulatory body. We maintain this requirement because we consider the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions to represent a leading standard of professional ethics and client care, and we seek to ensure that all therapists adhere to ethical and professional standards equivalent to or consistent with that framework.
All therapists are subject to vetting and onboarding procedures designed to verify their identity, qualifications, professional registration, and suitability to provide Services.
Carecoins operates as a platform and service provider facilitating access to Services and supporting community mental health initiatives.

3. Acceptance of These Terms
By using the Site or purchasing Carecoins credits, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must not use the Site.
You must be at least 18 years old.
4. Definitions
- "Carecoins C.I.C." means CARECOINS C.I.C., company number 12360129.
- "Carecoins credits" means prepaid digital service credits issued by Carecoins C.I.C.
- "Services" means therapy, training, and wellbeing services provided via the Site.
- "Provider" means a therapist or organisation delivering Services.
- "Consumer" means an individual acting outside business purposes.
- "Business Customer" means an organisation acting for business purposes.
5. Platform Role and Nature of Services
Carecoins operates a platform enabling access to Services.
carecoins:
- facilitates access to Services;
- vets therapists;
- provides access to Carecoins credits.
Carecoins does not guarantee clinical outcomes.
Therapeutic relationships exist between the user and the Provider delivering the Service.
6. Legal Status of Carecoins credits
Carecoins credits:
- are prepaid service credits;
- are not electronic money;
- are not a financial product;
- do not represent stored monetary value;
- cannot be exchanged for cash;
- may only be used on the Site.
Carecoins credits represent contractual access rights only.
7. "No Cost" Statement Clarification
References to "no cost" mean no additional platform access fee beyond an organisation's existing or planned wellbeing, training, or charitable expenditure.
Services require the purchase and use of Carecoins credits.
"No cost" does not mean Services are provided free of charge.
8. Good Cause Contribution and Training Pricing Structure
Organisations may allocate Carecoins credits toward designated good cause funds.
Where organisations do so, Carecoins may offer eligible training courses at reduced prices.
These reduced prices may be up to 50% below the latest recommended retail price ("RRP") marketplace pricing.
The discount is calculated against the latest RRP marketplace pricing and not against promotional pricing or best-offer discounts that may be offered by Red Umbrella or other training providers.
Reduced pricing:
- applies to eligible training courses;
- applies within 24 months of the relevant purchase;
- is based on the latest RRP marketplace pricing values.
Good Cause Contributions:
- are voluntary;
- are not investments;
- are not refundable;
- do not guarantee financial recovery.
Discounted pricing represents a commercial pricing benefit only.
9. Purchase and Contract Formation
Orders constitute offers.
Contracts form upon confirmation email.
We may refuse orders.
10. Payment
Payment must be made in full at purchase.
We accept major debit and credit cards.
11. Expiry
Carecoins credits expire 24 months after purchase.
Expired credits cannot be used or refunded.
12. Consumer Cancellation Rights
Consumers may cancel within 14 days if credits are unused.
Refunds will be processed within 14 days.
Partial use may reduce refund value.
13. Account Security and Acceptable Use
Users must maintain account security.
Users must not misuse the platform.
We may suspend accounts for misuse or fraud.
14. Business Customer Logo Usage Consent
Where a business, charity, or organisation partners with Carecoins or purchases Carecoins credits, they grant Carecoins a non-exclusive licence to display and use their organisation's name and logo for promotional and informational purposes.
This includes display on our website, partner listings, case studies, presentations, and marketing materials.
If you wish your logo to be removed, email care@carecoins.co.uk.
We will remove it within 14 days.
15. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property belongs to Carecoins C.I.C.
Users may not reproduce platform content without permission.
16. Limitation of Liability
Nothing excludes liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence;
- fraud;
- liabilities which cannot legally be excluded.
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid in the previous 12 months.
Carecoins is not liable for indirect losses.
17. Provider Responsibility
Providers are responsible for Services they deliver.
Carecoins does not guarantee outcomes.
Carecoins is not responsible for clinical decisions of independent Providers.
18. Platform Availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted platform access.
We may suspend or modify the platform.
19. Fraud and Misuse
We may suspend accounts or credits for fraud or misuse.
20. Privacy
Personal data is processed under our Privacy Policy.
21. Termination
We may terminate access where necessary.
22. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
23. Severability
Invalid provisions do not affect remaining Terms.
24. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement.
